Coming Soon: Columbia Journal of Environmental Law Field Reports
9th April 2009
The Columbia Journal of Environmental Law is pleased to announce
that in the coming months it will be launching an on-line companion
publication, Columbia Journal of Environmental Law Field Reports.
Field
Reports will publish timely legal scholarship aimed at a broader
audience of policy makers, legal practitioners, academics, and
students, as well as anyone who is interested in developments in
environmental law. At a time of extraordinary legal and policy changes
in environmental law, Field Reports aims to serve as a resource for
effective and accessible analysis of legislation, court cases,
regulations, state and local actions, and international developments.
Field Reports will fill the space between blogs and news services and
traditional academic work with in-depth and informed examination of
developments in the field.
Field Reports will publish a variety of types of pieces including:
General commentary and essays on environmental issues;
Companion pieces to articles in the print edition of the Journal;
Follow-up pieces to past articles;
Topical updates on recent cases, legislation, rules, and international agreement; and
Book reviews.
In the future, Field Reports will also be publishing on-line
symposia and debates as well as a variety of other content from
affiliated organizations at Columbia University.
Field
Reports welcomes submissions from professors, practitioners, judges,
legislators, and law students, as well as relevant work by experts from
other fields. Pieces will be reviewed and published on a rolling
basis. Published content will be available through commercial databases
and will be permanently available online in pdf format, organized by
volume number and paginated consecutively. Field Reports pieces should
be cited according to the following format: Author, Title, [Volume]
